About Us
Magnolia & Lace Weddings is a team of one - Dawn Hendrix. Dawn grew up in Savannah, Georgia but has made the Chattanooga area her home since 2006. Holding a Master’s Degree in Family Ministry, she has a strong foundation of faith for the traditional Christian wedding. In the last 15 years however, Dawn’s journey has brought her to appreciate and celebrate love in all its many revelations, particularly where some in her faith tradition have built barriers. Magnolia & Lace does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, incarceration, sexual orientation, gender identity, or anything else that tears people apart instead of bringing them together.

Whether you dream of a church wedding, a quick getaway ceremony, or an intimate gathering at one of Chattanooga’s gorgeous event venues, we will work with you to customize everything in your ceremony. Do you want a handfasting ceremony during your wedding? A traditional unity candle? A sand ceremony? We will make that work.
But what if my wedding will be unusual?
Dawn started her life journey as a painfully shy middle child with a flair for the dramatic. Through the years, the shyness has melted away, thanks in great part to theater arts.
So if you’re wondering if she can make your ceremony fulfill your dreams - however wild they may be - worry not! She has officiated weddings in Mickey Mouse ears and formal gowns (though not at the same time). She has even officiated weddings where one of the parties is incarcerated.
